Honestly, this made me giggle. Sorry for the language – no offence intended.

I don’t think there is anyone who escapes a trip down the rabbit hole. There will come a time when we all have our turn. Our trips might be triggered by a myriad of reasons. It may be grief, bullying, a break up, a physical illness, career issue.. it could be a number of things. But we will all experience something in life that didn’t go quite as planned.

There are times when we try to stay standing. We stumble around like a baby giraffe trying to walk. We grip on with finger tips straining to keep us anchored. Yet, still we fall. As the quote above reminds us, it doesn’t matter that we fall – sometimes it’s inevitable. What matters is that we get back up again.

The climb back up is never going to be easy. But it’s a chance to learn. It’s a chance to reflect on why and how we fell. It’s a chance for us to grow, change, and develop resilience. The climb isn’t usually enjoyable – just as the fall was most likely terrifying. But it’s worth it.

Without struggle or conflict.. how will we know our true inner strength? We can become stronger, braver, wiser, and more resilient from our falls. But we can only do so if we choose to rise again.

I can’t make that decision for you. But I know that I have made that choice for me. I will rise again – flaming!
