Dangars Falls

I road tripped up to Armidale this weekend and my friend and I stumbled across this gorgeous view!

Well worth the 20 minute trip from town. It is off a dirt road (which is easily accessible for any vechiles so don’t worry!).

It’s a fabulous spot for a picnic and there some well marked bush walks for them ore adventurous. The lookout itself is wheel chair/ pram friendly.

Art Express

We visited the Art Express display at the Newington Armory – and wow! The talent of these young people was astounding. For those of you who are not aware – artworks exhibited in Art Express are created by students in their final year of schooling. The top artworks are selected and exhibited for the general public to enjoy.

ANZAC Display

Today my mum and I drive to Terrigal to see the gorgeous display on the Skillion. It was amazing! So many beautifully handcrafted poppies made up the huge banner. It was a really special way to salute our servicemen and women both past and present.

If you bring a cash donation you can put a poppy into the display 😀

The Cook’s Garden

Yesterday a friend and I had breakfast at The Cook’s Garden in North Turramurra. It’s a very welcoming cafe that has some quirky decor and decent food. It’s not overly priced and the service was great. The good was served promptly and was delicious 😀! There’s plenty of parking around the back of the building.

I’d recommend it to anyone in the area.

I’ve provided the menu below:

Long Reef Headland

This morning my mum and I went for a walk up Long Reef Headland. It’s a about a 4km round trip and there’s hills which is great for anyone who wants to get a workout in while enjoying stunning scenery. For those who need access to toilets.. Regularly – there’s one at the start and one at halfway 😀. There’s also these cute gnomes hidden along the way!

The paths are even and sealed so if you were pushing a pram or wheelchair you’d be okay but it does get steep!!!

Tempt & Vixen

This store is located in the Hunter Valley not far from the gardens. It’s a shop full of treasures, gifts and unusual, wonderful pretties ❤️  There were beautifully hand painted treasure boxes..
These hand made cards were gorgeous.. Would love to purchase lots but I wouldn’t want to give them away.. The start of card hoarders anonymous?

I love coloured glass.. Especially in the window catching the light
Some funny cards.. Some inappropriate cards… Amusing though!

Very unique jewellery.. This piece was quite pretty.. Not a fan of the black leather but the pendant is unusual and lovely 😀

I love the duck egg blue cameo brooch – unususl, pretty and vintage. Not sure what I would wear it with though!

The shop had some cute jewellery boxes like this silver peacock box.

The Smelly Cheese Shop

Delicious gourmet chutney, spreads, jam, gelato and cheese… What more could you want? This shop was amazing.. You could easily spend a small fortune in there easily! We bought a cheese platter and two chutneys.. Very happy customers here!!

This shop is located in the Hunter Valley.

Pokolbin Chocolate Company

These amazing creations can be purchased from a chocolate shop in the Hunter Valley. Everything looked absolutely delicious and tasted even better. We bought a huge haul and I doubt that it will last us long. It is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

New Shanghai

img_5019img_5014img_5018img_5015 This Chinese restaurant is located in Chatswood (in the Lemon Grove). I have eaten here several times and always been satisfied. The food is amazing, fresh and comes out of the kitchen so quickly. We spent a total of twenty minutes in the restaurant from sitting down to paying our bill. It’s so cheap. Always very popular so sometimes there’s a wait for a table but it’s worth it! Best dumplings I have ever eaten – every time. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Definitely give out of five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
